DESCRIPTION:The Kingdom of Eswatini is preparing to host the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Sustainable Energy Week 2027\, a landmark regional event that is expected to bring together policymakers\, energy experts\, investors\, development partners\, and private sector leaders to advance Southern Africa’s sustainable energy agenda. \nThe conference\, scheduled to take place from 15 to 19 March 2027 at the Palazzo International Convention Centre in Ezulwini\, is expected to attract more than 800 delegates from across the SADC region and beyond. The event will serve as a platform for discussing solutions to the region’s energy challenges while promoting investment in renewable energy and energy infrastructure. \nHosted under the theme “Unlocking Investment for Sustainable Energy\, Energy Access and Energy Security\,” the week-long event will focus on strengthening regional cooperation to improve electricity access\, enhance energy security\, and accelerate the transition to cleaner and more sustainable energy systems. \nParticipants will include government ministers\, utility companies\, financial institutions\, renewable energy developers\, researchers\, and international development organizations. Discussions will center on policy reforms\, financing mechanisms\, innovation\, and cross-border energy projects aimed at driving economic growth throughout Southern Africa.
