DESCRIPTION:The ECOWAS Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE) is excited to announce the 10th edition of the ECOWAS Sustainable Energy Forum (ESEF) 2025\, under the theme “Accelerating Sustainable Energy Infrastructure Solutions for Growth in the ECOWAS Region.” The forum is scheduled to take place on 18 - 19 of September 2025\, at Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara International Conference Center\, in Banjul\, The Gambia. Join us as we bring together key stakeholders from across the region to unlock the potential for a sustainable energy future in West Africa. \n \nAs the region’s leading sustainable energy event\, ESEF 2025 will convene high-level participants including ministers\, private sector leaders\, development partners\, and civil society actors. The forum’s agenda features strategic dialogues on clean cooking\, mini-grids\, climate-resilient cooling\, sustainable mobility\, and the energy-water-food nexus. With over 500 attendees expected\, ESEF continues to serve as a unique platform for strengthening regional cooperation\, unlocking financing opportunities\, and advancing the goals of the ECOWAS Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Policies.

DESCRIPTION:Join the Global Distributors Collective (GDC) for the global launch of the Last Mile Distribution (LMD): State of the sector 2025 report! \nThis session will unpack fresh data on business trends in the LMD sector\, product reach\, and customer impact. It will also explore key challenges and opportunities faced by GDC members\, as well as recommendations for stakeholders looking to work more closely with distributors moving forwards. \nThis is an interactive session featuring a presentation from the GDC team as well as firsthand insights from GDC members and sector experts. After the plenary session concludes (at the 60-minute mark) we'll disperse into optional\, thematic breakout group discussions to engage informally on topics such as access to finance\, productive uses of energy\, inclusive business models\, and more. \nThe GDC Last Mile Distribution: State of the sector 2025 is funded with UK aid from the UK government\, via the Transforming Energy Access platform.
