Today, AECF officially launched the Solar Electrification Fund in partnership with Invest in Visions – a non-bank impact investor headquartered in Frankfurt. The Fund is a bold step in solving for access to finance for distributed renewable energy companies across Botswana, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Kenya, and Rwanda.
With Invest in Visions as the Fund Manager and AECF as the Fund Advisor, the Fund will offer commercial capital to help businesses grow and deliver reliable energy solutions at scale. The capital will be available to businesses and projects in Productive Use Energy (PUE), Commercial and Industrial solar (C&I), and mini-grid energy systems.
